Wager on action-packed, heart pounding, fist-clenching, videotaped horse racing! There will be ten races followed by an auction race! Bets* start at $2 (Win, Daily Double, Trifecta, & Exacta betting styles)! Winner’s Choice raffle, gift basket raffles, silent auction, live auction, 50/50, & MORE! Your attendance at the event, donation, or contribution of a gift basket raffle item would be greatly appreciated!

About Us

Fighting For Alyssa (FFA) was founded in May 2015 by Lea Heidman and Brian Malone after the sudden passing of their daughter Alyssa due to a heroin overdose. At the time of her death on March 18, 2015, Alyssa had just turned 21 years old. The committee consists of over 80 members. Together our committee decided to use #lovespeaks...

  • love someone else enough to speak up to get them help
  • love speaks from the heart

FFA is dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of substance use disorder in our communities. We are a non-profit charity (501c3), tax id 81-4029124, and are also affiliated with the Akron Community Foundation (ACF).
