Story Upping!
You just met someone
at a Networking event.
The two of you start talking.
She asks you a question.
You respond by relaying a story that
answers the question.
Part way through the story, you notice her
Eyes glaze over!
You see her glance around the room.
You can see she wants to talk at the
first possible moment.
You finish.
She jumps in and says,
"You think that"s bad, wait till you
Hear this one!"
Now, you find you're not at all interested
as she explains her story...
You were just a victim of "Story Upping!"
At our November Networking WOW Workshop, we
will explore why this happens and how you can
